Naziha Azzouz est née à Oran (Algérie), dans une famille musicienne. Elle s'est installée en France à l'âge de douze ans. Elle chante la musique "Andalouse" ainsi que le répertoire médiéval méditerranéen (musique andalouse ancienne, arabe, espagnole, bulgare et latine), qu'elle a travaillée avec l'ensemble Joglaresa au Royaume-Uni. Elle a étudié le Oud avec le célèbre maître Behar d'Algérie et le chant arabo-Andalou, avec Rachid Guerbas à Lille, dans le cadre de l'association Maqam. Elle s'est produite dans des festivals internationaux dont le "Festival des Musiques Sacrées" de Fez (Maroc).
En 1998, elle rencontre à Londres Adel Salameh avec lequel, il en résulte leur euregistrement de 4 CDs (Nuzha, Kanza, Hafla, et Rissala) et de nombreux concerts en Europe, ainsi que des émissions de radio (BBC World Services, Radio France Internationale, France-Culture, Radio Nova, Mondomix, etc. et de télévision. On a pu les entendre en Allemagne, Italie, Espagne, Royaume-Uni, (Barbican) Irlande, Belgique, Danemark, Norvège, Suisse, Autriche, Maroc, et France (Auditorium Maurice Ravel et Amphithéâtre de l'opéra à Lyon), Institut du Monde Arabe à Paris, et partout en France. La tournée s'est continué en Grèce où ils ont été invités pour donner un concert aux jeux Olympiques.
En 2005/2006, Adel et Naziha ont fait une grande tournée en Australie, et Nouvelles Zélande, Malaisie, Corée du Sud, Canada, puis Allemagne,Italie Suisse,etc
Arrivés à un niveau international, Naziha et Adel sont demandés par des programmateurs, et Festivals dans le monde.
Naziha Azzouz was born in Algeria and moved to France at the age of 12. She started singing the old Andalucian music at a very early age and performed in Algeria, France, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
In 1998 Naziha first met Adel Salameh to study Arabic music, i.e. the music of the Orient, which has nothing to do with North African music. Since that time, Naziha and Adel have worked together and recorded a number of CDs: Nuzha, Kanza, Hafla and Rissala.
Naziha has also worked with the medieval group, Joglaresa, in London. The French newspaper, Le Monde, has described her voice as, "This is no ordinary voice. This voice is coming from Paradise."
Naziha and Adel have toured Europe to promote their most recent CD, Rissala. In this tour they performed in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Ireland and Belgium.
